Coburg traders support more CCTV

The Coburg Traders Association is putting its weight behind the push for public CCTV cameras in Moreland. CCTV cameras operated by private businesses have been instrumental in solving violent crimes in area recently. There is currently a Victorian State Government offer to help council’s fund more CCTV in public areas due to the success of CCTV in identifying perpetrators of crime and ultimately acting as a deterrant to further crime.
